Threads of Resilience in Panganiban, Catanduanes

Threads of Resilience in Panganiban, Catanduanes

In the aftermath of Typhoon Uwan, the community faced immense challenges as homes were damaged and livelihoods disrupted.

The impact was deeply felt, but so was the spirit of bayanihan. Support poured in from various individuals and groups, helping the community take steady steps toward recovery.

Amid these difficult circumstances, the construction of the Abaca Weaving Center in Panganiban continues to move forward.

Though progress has been gradual, the center is now slowly taking shape, standing as a symbol of resilience and hope for the weavers and the wider community.

As daily life begins to return to a sense of normalcy, plans are also being set in motion. Advanced training programs are also scheduled to resume next year, ensuring that skills development and livelihood support remain on track!

HABI extends its heartfelt gratitude to TELUS for providing the grant that supports the training programs under this project.
