
Celebrating 50 years of Philippines-Jordan diplomatic relations through threads of tradition and artistry 🇵🇭🇯🇴


KatHABI’t Ugnayan: A Textile Exhibit opens at the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts, celebrating the rich heritage of Philippine textiles and the stories woven into each piece. The exhibition holds special significance as it marks 50 years of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Jordan, honoring decades of cultural exchange, mutual respect, and enduring friendship.



Mounted under the Royal Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Wijdan Al-Hashemi and graced by the presence of Her Royal Highness Princess Rajwa bint Ali, the opening was attended by Philippine Ambassador to Jordan Wilfredo Santos; Director IV of the DOST–Philippine Textile Research Institute, Julius L. Leano Jr.; President of HABI: The Philippine Textile Council, Mia C. Villanueva; and President of Museo Pambata, Wilma Santos-Huang, among other distinguished guests.


Featured in the exhibit are LAKAT, Angie's Yakan, BJ Chavez, Piesa, Anthill, Zara Juan, Woven, and MCV Designs, showcasing the richness, innovation, and enduring artistry of Philippine textiles and local crafts on the global stage.
