3rd Annual ASEAN Tea and Textile Symposium

Irene Bawer-Bimuyag (extreme left) from Kalinga province and Nanay Myrna Pula (extreme right), a T’boli artist from Mindanao, were the proud Philippine representatives to the 3rd Annual ASEAN Tea and Textile Symposium held at the Museum of Ethnic Vietnam Culture in Thai Nguyen, Vietnam. Both highly skilled weavers, these women have also worked tirelessly to sustain the weaving craft.

Their participation was made possible through the support of HABI: The Philippine Textile Council, which encourages international exposure of Filipino weavers to their sister weavers in the region.
